The Mad Crush Sizzles in Santa Barbara
The Mad Crush was the happy recipient of a one-two punch in Santa Barbara this week as both the Santa Barbara Independent and Santa Barbara News-Press published feature stories on the book.
In the Independent, Matt Kettmann’s piece was titled “The Wild Wine Harvest of ’95.” In teeing up his interview with me, he called The Mad Crush “a quick and lively read, perfect for anyone with any shred of interest in wine.
In the News-Press, Gabe Saglie closed his feature on the book with two sentences of pure poetry that go to the essence of The Mad Crush: “Success is often rooted in perseverance. But submission to serendipity – the willingness to be moved by time and place – can be powerful, too.”
